Labour is soft on fly-tipping — the Lib Dems have a plan to get tough

What more can we expect from a Labour-run council that takes next to no enforcement action against fly-tipping?

Last year, more than 2,000 fly-tipping incidents were reported in Trafford, yet the council issued only 72 fines — equivalent to just 3.6% of reported incidents.

Meanwhile, fly-tipping is taking weeks to be cleared, leaving rubbish littering our streets.

Trafford Liberal Democrats have a plan to get tough on fly-tipping. We want:

  • Fines increased to up to £2,500.
  • More CCTV to catch those responsible.
  • A full check of existing CCTV cameras to make sure they are working properly.

It is time for Trafford Council to take action, punish those responsible and clean up our borough.

Back our plan for tougher fines, more CCTV and cleaner streets.

It’s time to clean up Trafford

Enough is enough — Labour must get tough on fly-tipping

Labour’s weak enforcement has failed. Trafford Council must impose tougher fines, catch those responsible and stop rubbish from being left to pile up on our streets.

Back the Lib Dem plan to clean up Trafford. Sign our petition today.
