Make the Park Road Corner Crossing Safe

Crossing Park Road should not be a race against the traffic lights!

Barbara Gerard and Cllr Jane Brophy are calling on Trafford Council to fix the pedestrian crossing so that everyone can cross in safety

At the moment, pedestrians have just a few seconds to cross from one side of the road to the other before the lights change. This makes crossing difficult and stressful, particularly for older people, parents with young children, wheelchair users and anyone with reduced mobility.

Residents should be able to cross safely without feeling rushed or stranded in the road.

We are calling on Trafford Council to complete the pedestrian crossing so people have enough time to cross the full width of Park Road safely.

Please sign our petition asking Trafford Council to:

Complete the pelican crossing across the full width of Park Road.
Give pedestrians enough time to cross safely.
Improve safety before someone is seriously injured.

Everyone deserves a safe crossing. Let's make it happen.
