Ward Background
Hale Barns & Timperley South is located at Trafford's most southeasterly tip. The ward is one of the most affluent places in the country, being in the top 10% of wealthiest areas in the country. The River Bollin bounds the ward in the South, the M56 & Manchester Airport in the East, Timperley Central Ward to the North and Hale Ward to the West.
It is in the south of Trafford with approximately 10,300 Residents across 3,800 houses. There are 6 schools in the ward; Cloverlea Primary School, Altrincham College, Well Green Primary School, St Ambrose College, St. Ambrose Prep School and Elmridge Primary.
The ward is 1 of 9 which make up the Altrincham & Sale West Constituency. It is currently represented by 3 Conservative Councilors. Our Candidate for the 2026 Elections is Matt Sellars.

Matt is our Candidate for Hale Barns & Timperley South in 2026. Matt has been playing an active role in the local community, taking a leading role in the Timperley Civic Society and reaching out to the local communities in the ward.
Matt first stood for the Lib Dems in Bowdon in 2023.
