Ward Background

Sale Central Ward encompasses, as the name suggests, Sale Town Centre and everything at the heart of Sale. With the Water Park, Gardens, Sports Clubs and an incredible selection of bars & restaurants, Sale Central has something for everyone. The ward is shaped by the River Mersey in the North, Washway Road & Cross Street to the West, Marsland Road to the South and Sale Moor to the East.

The ward is close to the center of Trafford with approximately 10,400 Residents across 4,700 houses. There are 3 schools in the ward; Springfield Primary School, St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School & Sale Grammar School. 

The ward is 1 of 3 Trafford Wards which make up the Wythenshawe & Sale East Constituency, with the majority of wards in this constituency being under Manchester City Council. It is currently represented by 3 Labour Councilors. Our Candidate for the 2026 Elections is Joe Kramer.

Joe is our Candidate for Sale Central in 2026. Joe is leading a strong campaign in Sale, with lots of residents getting behind Joe's plan to make sure the basics get done right in Sale and ensure the area is not taken for granted like it currently is by Trafford Labour.

Joe first stood for the Lid Dems in Sale Central in 2023.
